Burning Daylight's debut full-length record "Whiskey & Romances" is now
available on Youth Dew Records!  The album was recorded and produced by
our good friend Dan McLoughlin of
The Push Stars (whose production credits
include Dinosaur Jr and Weezer) and is currently available
here on our site and
at all shows!  In the near future, the record will also be available in record
stores, several online retailers and through digital music services like iTunes!
We're very excited and proud to finally have a record out and we couldn't have
done it without all of your support...so thank you all!

We just spent 5 days in NYC recording our record with Dan McLoughlin of
The Push Stars and are finally finished!  We had already recorded the drum and
bass tracks locally but needed to add all of the guitars, vocals, keyboards etc.
down there with Dan.  I left first last Thursday and Adam and Jesse showed up
early Saturday after Jesse spent a grueling 5 and a half hours having his ear
talked off by Adam.  Apparently, Adam
very strongly disagrees with the
current administration's policies in the Middle East and also prefers Burger
King to McDonald's (according to Jesse, this took Adam
three hours to
explain).  As soon as they got there, I had Dan break the news to Jesse and
Adam that they were no longer needed and that it was
our band now.  We had
grand plans to take over the world as the newly formed duo Burning Daylight,
but then Adam got us to change our minds by offering us some of his "Chicken
Fries" from Burger King...damn you irresistible deep-fried chicken strips!
After that tense drama, we got to work and Adam oohed and ahhed 'till he
couldn't ooh and ahh no more and Jesse did his fair share of oohing and ahhing
himself plus a whole bunch of percussion.  Unfortunately, Adam had to work
Monday morning so he had to leave late Sunday night but Jesse stayed so he
could help out with more of the recording, as well as engineering:

Jesse also got REALLY excited when we told him we were considering keeping
his drum parts:

Then I took a break from recording to learn how to play the banjo:

After all of
that, we managed to finish recording our record and even find our
way home.  Check back soon for updates on our album's release as well as
previews of brand new tracks on our
MySpace page.
